Terms of Service

• I reserve the right to decline any commission that falls outside my abilities, interests or personal boundaries.
• NSFW commissions are available to clients aged 18 or older. All characters depicted in sexual content must be adults.
• Please provide clear descriptions and visual references whenever possible. If your character needs to be designed from scratch, additional fees may apply.
• I expect respectful communication. Harassment or repeated inappropriate language may result in cancellation, subject to the refund policy below.

All prices are in USD.

Reservation fee: 20$

• Once your request is accepted, a 20$ payment is required to reserve your place in my commission queue.
• This fee is included in your commission's total price. It is NOT an additional charge.
• Your reservation is confirmed once the payment is received.

Payment process

• When I begin working on your commission, 50% of the total price must be paid. Your 20$ reservation payment is deducted from this amount.
• The remaining 50% is due after the artwork is completed and approved, before the final files are delivered.
• Full upfront payment or payment plans is also available if you prefer.
• Sketch commissions must be paid in full before work begins.
• Alternative payment plans may be arranged for larger projects if discussed and agreed upon in advance.

Example: A 200$ commission

1. 20$ to reserve your slot.
2. 80$ when work begins.
3. 100$ after completion, before delivery.

Additional information

• Available payment methods will be confirmed with you individually.
• Please do not send any payments before I provide the necessary details.
• The final price depends on the character's complexity, additional elements, overall workload.
• Once we agree on the price and scope of your commission, it will not change unless you request additional work or changes that require an extra fee. Any additional charges will be discussed with you first.

• Once your slot is reserved, I'll add you to my commission queue and provide an estimated start date.
• Start dates are approximate and may change depending on my workload, the complexity of ongoing projects or unexpected circumstances.
• Most commissions take between 1 week and 2 months from the actual start of work. Particularly complex references, illustrations and comics may take longer.
• If you need the artwork by a specific date, please tell me BEFORE reserving a slot. I will confirm whether I can meet your deadline.
• Delays in receiving feedback, references or payments may extend the completion time.
• If unexpected delays occur on my side, I'll do my best to keep you informed.

The workflow may vary depending on the commission type, but generally follows these stages:

1. Rough Sketch
2. Clean Sketch
3. Lineart (if applicable)
4. Flat Colours
5. Rendering & Final Details

Work-in-progress updates (WIPs)

• I'll send you WIPs at major stages for your feedback and approval.
• You can request additional progress updates at any point during the process.
• Please review each stage carefully before approving it. Once a stage has been approved, returning to it for major changes may require an additional fee.
• Some stages may be skipped depending on the artwork's style and complexity.

• Please keep in touch during the commission process, especially when your feedback or approval is needed.
• If you know you'll be unavailable for some time, please let me know in advance.
• If I don't receive a response for an extended period(2 weeks), I may temporarily pause your commission and continue with other orders in the queue.
• When you return, we can discuss resuming the project based on my current availability.

A pause caused by missing feedback may affect the original estimated completion date.

If you cancel your commission:

• Before work begins, the 20$ reservation fee is generally non-refundable, as it was used to reserve your slot. Any additional advance payments will be refunded.
• If work has already started, the refund amount will depend on how much work has been completed.
• Once the sketch stage has been completed, payments covering completed work are generally non-refundable.
• If you paid the full price upfront and cancel before completion, any applicable refund will be calculated based on the work already completed.

If I cancel your commission:

• If I cancel before work begins, you will receive a full refund, including the reservation fee.
• If I cannot complete a commission that has already started, I will refund the payment corresponding to the unfinished portion of the work.

• Once the artwork is completed, I'll send you a final preview for approval.
• After receiving the remaining payment, I'll deliver the full-resolution artwork as PNG files via email.
• Additional versions, such as alternative outfits, NSFW variants or separate reference pages, will be included if agreed upon beforehand.
• Editable PSD files are not included unless we specifically agree otherwise.

Personal use

You are welcome to:

• Post the completed artwork on social media with proper credit.
• Use it as a profile picture, banner or character reference.
• Print it for your own personal, non-commercial use.
• Please credit me as Rvusaa / Acratopotes or link to my website\my socials when sharing the artwork publicly.

Copyright

• You retain ownership of your original characters.
• I retain copyright and ownership of the artwork I create, unless we explicitly agree otherwise in writing.
• Purchasing a commission does not automatically transfer commercial rights.
• I may display completed commissions and WIPs in my portfolio, website and social media unless we have agreed on privacy restrictions.

Commercial use

Commercial use requires my prior approval and may involve additional licensing fees.

Examples:

• Selling prints, stickers or other merchandise featuring the artwork.
• Using the artwork for commercial advertising.
• Reselling the artwork as a digital product.
